      On 6th/December/1972, arriving to Avilés, she grounded on the San Juan de Nieva beach breakwater, that was under construction.

      Most of cargo was recovered, mainly granite, tyres and rubber hoses, from Bilbao to Oran. The winter storm were demolishing her until scrapped on May/1974.

      Due to the scrapping delay, due to the winter storms and bureaucracy, part of the ship remained under the breakwater that was constructed. On June/2004 the breakwater was demolished, and the remaining parts removed.

Monte Berretin

        Launched as Monte Tres for Naviera Aznar although she left the shipyard as Monte Berretin, that kept when Vapores Suardíaz was her owner. She was bought on 1968 and sold on 1982 to a Panamanian shipping company. After several owners and names she was scrapped on 1992.
        She was part of a group of five coaster vessels to be delivered on 1964/66 to Naviera Aznar, built by Juliana Constructora Gijonesa. Their names would be: Monte Uno, Monte Dos, Monte Tres, Monte Cuatro y Monte Cinco, but three were sold when yet at the shipyard. They were the Monte Uno, Monte Dos and Monte Cinco, sold to Naviera Eco the first and to Naviera Vasco Gaditana the other two, renamed Eco Luisa, Puerto de Pasajes and Puerto de Cadiz respectively.
        The Monte Tres and Monte Cuatro were also renamed before their delivery as Monte Berretin and Monte Balerdi.

Monte Balerdi

        Launched as Monte Cuatro for Naviera Aznar left the shipyard as Monte Balerdi, also kept with Vapores Suardíaz. Like her sister was bought on 1968 and sold to a Panamanian shipping company on 1982. She was scrapped on 1990, but before she was during short time used for radio broadcasting close to Honduras.
